Trained in chemistry and sustainability, he uses scientific precision to unpack how modern climate and financial systems often repeat the same extraction patterns that defined the colonial era. His work challenges the moral and political logic of carbon markets, revealing how “green” solutions can reproduce inequality under new names. Alex has written influential essays on carbon colonialism and the political weaponization of faith. He is currently developing a justice-centered model for climate cooperation, one that moves beyond Western offset markets and Chinese infrastructure diplomacy toward a vision of sovereignty, equity, and shared responsibility.
