Jasmine Tuan
Co-Founder @ CloopThe creative brand consultant turned her life around after meeting a Zero Waste NGO while living and working in Malaysia (2016-2020). She learned about the 5R sequence to sustainable living: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Re-earth. In 2018, Jasmine started her zero waste journey and committed to zero fast fashion shopping – extremely challenging for a (then) shopaholic. Thankfully, she was introduced to the concept of swapping in Malaysia and found a way to enjoy fashion more sustainably - friendly to the planet, the people making our clothes, and our pockets! Jasmine returned home to Singapore in 2020, and joined forces with Cloop on a mission to reduce fashion overconsumption and waste by introducing a circular way of enjoying new-to-you styles through swap/resale. Together with an ISO-accredited recycling partner with a zero-waste-to-landfills process, Cloop hopes to double the textile/leather recycling rate by planting yellow textile recycling bins around Singapore to close the loop for fashion for good. Since the launch of the first textile recycling bin in July 2022, there are now 400 sites available in Singapore.
